Welcome to Miss.Yasmeen’s Classroom!

Where Islamic values meet creativity, character, and joyful learning.

Assalamu Alaikum and welcome! I’m Miss Yasmeen, an elementary school teacher based in sunny Florida. As a proud Muslim educator with Indian and Egyptian roots, I bring a unique blend of culture, faith, and creativity into my teaching approach. My classroom is a space where students are not only encouraged to grow academically but also spiritually and emotionally—with kindness, balance, and purpose.

A Bit About Me…

I’ve always believed that education is more than just textbooks and tests. It’s about shaping hearts and minds, building strong character, and helping children understand the world through a lens of faith and compassion. As a practicing Muslim, I believe that learning about Islam should be both meaningful and enjoyable—something that inspires curiosity, reflection, and a genuine connection with our Creator.

In my classroom, I strive to:

  • Create a welcoming environment where every child feels seen and valued

  • Weave Islamic values naturally into everyday learning

  • Encourage balance—between work and rest, faith and fun, discipline and kindness

  • Celebrate the beauty of our deen in ways children can understand and appreciate

What You’ll Find on This Blog

This blog is a space for fellow educators, parents, and caregivers who want to bring Islamic values into the learning experience—without overwhelming complexity. Here, I’ll be sharing:

  • Practical classroom strategies inspired by Islamic principles

  • Free/Paid printables and resources for values-based learning

  • Ideas for integrating Islam into various subjects

  • Reflections on faith, teaching, and finding balance as a Muslim educator

  • Tips for nurturing character, confidence, and kindness in young learners

Why This Matters

Now more than ever, our children need spaces that reinforce who they are and who they’re becoming. My goal is to help support that journey—by creating classroom experiences that are rooted in sincerity, love, and Islamic values. Whether you’re homeschooling, teaching in a full-time school, or guiding your child through a weekend program, I hope you find something here that supports and uplifts your mission.

Thank you for being here. I look forward to growing, learning, and sharing with you.

With peace and gratitude,
Miss Yasmeen
